Beyond the screen
From concept to camera.
We wanted to tell the story behind Big Hug Brewery’s transformation and the impact of JDO’s pro bono work. After JDO redesigned Big Hug’s branding, including their logo and beer packaging, the brewery went on to secure shelf space in major retailers including ASDA and Sainsbury’s.
To bring the story to life, I took my camera to the Big Hug Brewery and filmed an interview with Matt, founder of Big Hug Brewery, and Dan, Creative Director at JDO. Rachel and Tamzin from JDO developed the interview questions, while I took care of the filming, directing the camera setup and capturing supporting B-roll around the brewery. I also photographed the day alongside the video production.
Once back in post-production, I worked through the raw footage, building teaser trailers and creating a custom Big Hug x JDO 3D intro in After Effects. I then edited the full interview, bringing together the conversation, B-roll and branding to create the final piece, which is set to be released soon.
From developing the initial concept to filming on location, editing and creating the motion graphics, this project allowed me to take the story from concept to camera — and all the way through to the final edit.

Alongside post-production and designer, I also have experience working behind and in front of the camera. I recently shot a fast-paced social campaign for GIANT, where I helped bring the brand’s energy-focused message to life through movement-led storytelling.
With a strong interest in staying active and parkour, I was selected to perform and creatively lead the visual flow of the shoot, shaping movement, pacing, and overall energy to suit social platforms. This hands-on experience strengthened my understanding of how ideas translate from concept to camera to final edit.
